Boris Johnson puts the UK into full lockdown, again.
Welcome to Orwell’s 1984 - Day 1 January 5th 2021
Welcome to Oceania, Winston Smith’s world of totalitarianism. Let me give you the definition. ‘a system of government that is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state’.
That is what you have just signed up for and you will not be released until we have enough people vaccinated - staggering.
So, welcome to LOCKDOWM 3, Welcome to WORLD WAR 3 because my friends that is exactly what it is, only this time without the bullets, because in 2021 we don’t need those anymore. As in all the other world wars we are fighting for freedom against tyranny and fascism, exactly as we are faced now. And you can all clearly see how Hitler did it. You have a one-party state, you control the media, you censor, and use surveillance and you lie. And an intelligent 1930s German population ‘buy it’ hook, line, and sinker and at the same time giving them the justification to perpetrate horrific crimes against humanity. We fought the fascist tyranny, we fought for our freedom and we won, and millions died so that we could be free. That will never be erased from my mind. We must never forget.
I never thought that with our current levels of enlightenment that in the third decade of the 21st Century that we would again be plunged into another world war, where tyranny was the main course on the menu and vaccination was the dessert. What happened in 1930s Germany is happening here. Most people are not getting it yet. They are still believing the government. We are now living in a fascist tyranny.
I am not going to give you all the facts in this post as to why I don’t believe the current narrative, that is covered in my other posts in some detail. My main aim for this post it to get across a message that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, this has gone too far, and we are becoming like 1930s Germany, where the technocracy is dictating the agenda and narrative. We all have to wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late.
The Kicker
So why in a free world you do treat your citizens like shit, with total disrespect and contempt and put them under house arrest? It is this utter indifference and heartlessness from the government to its subjects that completely shocks me, especially when every family in the country is currently going through turmoil. And when every other democratic country is doing exactly the same, then alarm bells are sounding. As I said in my last post there are countries out there who do not care about the welfare of their population and China is one of them. When most other countries are treating their citizens like Johnson, then I am smelling a large rat. What do you think, this is not right is it, not by a long way?
NHS current crisis
I must mention the NHS here because some you are going to be thinking I am not taking into account the potential overwhelming of the NHS in the coming weeks and therefore lockdown is the only answer. Firstly, I take my hat off to all NHS staff and everyone else who works in the care sector including all care homes you are all brilliant. What we have in the NHS is an acutely underfunded bureaucratic monolith. It is badly run and badly managed.
Some facts
1. Every winter there is a winter flu crisis, where bed occupancy nears 100% or more. Why is this never alleviated for the following year. Make more beds available.
2. There are currently 50,000 plus NHS workers off sick. Why have they not been vaccinated as the first cohort. Additionally, many staff are now, at the shortest possible notice, having to home school their kids again, so even more off work.
3. In reference to bed shortages there are 13,000 less beds this year than last year because we have socially distanced the beds, we have made no contingency for this when we knew this winter would be exceptional.
4. Bed capacity per 100,000 inhabitants. Germany had the most hospital beds per 100,000 inhabitants of any European country in 2018 with 800. France had 591 available hospital beds per 100,000 of the population in 2018 while Italy had 314. The United Kingdom had just 250 and the UK being one of the sickest nations in Europe with high levels of obesity, diabetes and heart disease leading to metabolic syndrome and life-threatening co-morbidities. Don’t add up.
5. We are not using the Nightingale Hospitals because there is a shortage of NHS personal currently as in 2 above, and we did not take up the offer of retired staff who made themselves available when asked.
6. 25% of COVID infections are acquired from hospitals themselves. I.e. Ill patients with other issues are arriving at hospital and are catching COVID in hospital after a short stay.
If the NHS was properly funded and properly managed and all the above were sorted, then there would be no need for Lockdowns – period. Because the NHS could easily manage the situation.
Why is this so wrong
As I have said before, if the current pandemic were either bubonic plague or the black death, I would accept restrictions, however it is not, far from it. COVID-19 is a nasty little flu like virus that is very virulent that has a death rate of 0.06% and the average age of death is 82. That is all it is. We must stand back and get the virus into perspective, because the collateral damage of the pandemic is going to be immense. Mental health catastrophe, cancer and suicide deaths through the roof, economic meltdown, millions out of work, 500 billion debt. For what? As I said for a virus that has a death rate of 0.06%.
I didn’t sign up for that. What happens next winter when COVID-22 rocks up and the current vaccines are not going to be effective. At what point do we become a banana republic. This is not logical, it is not sustainable, so there must be another way that protects the economy especially as with BREXIT we have to work a lot harder and a lot smarter to compete in a very aggressive worldwide marketplace.
Shutting down the world over a respiratory virus will perhaps go down in history as the most destructive and irrational decision ever made by public health “experts,” the World Health Organization and its technocratic allies - Dr Mercola. Unless there is an ulterior motive, and I won’t go there in this post.
The alternative
I will mention again (it is in many of my previous) posts the only way out of our catastrophic self-inflicted predicament is THE GREAT BARRINGTON DECLARATION which has been sighed by 35,000 doctors and scientists. Here it is for you.
The Great Barrington Declaration is a proposal written and signed at the American Institute for Economic Research in Great Barrington, Massachusetts on 4 October 2020. It proposes a libertarian policy for the COVID-19 pandemic, under which only people who are personally at high risk of dying from coronavirus disease would be protected from infection.
The declaration advocates that individuals at high risk of death from infection should continue staying at home, and that people at low risk resume their normal lives, by working away from home and attending mass gatherings. They hope that as a result most of these lower-risk people will contract the infection but not die, and that the resulting immune response will prevent the SARS-CoV-2 virus from spreading to higher-risk people. The declaration makes no mention of social distancing, mask, contact tracing, nor of COVID-19 testing.
Here is the declaration:
“As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.
Coming from both the left and right, and around the world, we have devoted our careers to protecting people. Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. The results (to name a few) include lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health – leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.
Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.
Fortunately, our understanding of the virus is growing. We know that vulnerability to death from COVID-19 is more than a thousand-fold higher in the old and infirm than the young. Indeed, for children, COVID-19 is less dangerous than many other harms, including influenza.
As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity – i.e. the point at which the rate of new infections is stable – and that this can be assisted by (but is not dependent upon) a vaccine. Our goal should therefore be to minimize mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.
The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection.
Adopting measures to protect the vulnerable should be the central aim of public health responses to COVID-19. By way of example, nursing homes should use staff with acquired immunity and perform frequent PCR testing of other staff and all visitors. Staff rotation should be minimized. Retired people living at home should have groceries and other essentials delivered to their home. When possible, they should meet family members outside rather than inside. A comprehensive and detailed list of measures, including approaches to multi-generational households, can be implemented, and is well within the scope and capability of public health professionals.
Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold. Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open. Arts, music, sport, and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity”.
The whole country needs to debate this, and we can all be part of our futures once again and not be treated with total disrespect and contempt. What do you think, are you up for the fight for our freedoms?
